The 4 new majors include
- sports management
- exercise science (a pre-physical therapy program)
- applied physics
- mathematical biology
- A concentration in journalism
- A new series of art classes (which could lead to an art minor)
- The School of Education will offer graduate-level special education
- All freshmen will be required to take a new 3-hour course, "Life Calling and Purpose," (designed to help students recognize their own skills, gifts, and life purposes)
