Treveccaís softball and baseball teams advance

Trojan softball and baseball are having winning seasons and are set to play in NAIA Region XI Tourneys.

Trevecca’s softball team is quickly advancing as No. 1 seed in this year’s NAIA Region XI tournament. The Trojans will advance after a 3-1 win over Freed-Hardeman at the NAIA Region XI Tournament on Wednesday.

Trevecca will face No. 2 seed Martin Methodist on Thursday at 3:00 P.M.

The Region XI Tourney is being held at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn. The tournament runs through Friday. Trevecca is the two-time defending champion.

NAIA No. 16 Trevecca Trojans Baseball will advance to Thursday’s play in the double-elimination NAIA Region XI Tournament at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn. After a 14-5 win over #1 seed University of the Cumberlands. The Patriots are ranked No. 6 in the NAIA.

Trevecca will face the loser of Wednesday’s 4:00 P.M. game between Cumberland University and Campbellsville University at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday. The Cumberland/Campbellsville game was suspended in the eighth inning today due to darkness. The teams are tied at five and will resume play on Thursday at 9:00 A.M.

The Region XI tournament is being held at Ernest L. Stockton Field on the campus of Cumberland University.
