Openings for musicians

The Trevecca Symphony Orchestra, one of Nashville’s most prominent college/community instrumental ensembles celebrating its 21th season, announces limited openings for all strings, beginning in August, with special need for competent basses. The all-volunteer, 65-piece TSO performs 7 concerts during its season including chamber, classical, choral, and pops. Among featured composers this semester are Dvorak, Delius, Alfven, Monteverdi, Copland and others.  The Trevecca Symphony Orchestra is open by audition or approval for capable and experienced volunteer orchestral musicians. The Trevecca Master Chorale announces auditions for limited openings for the fall semester of its 11th season. Focusing on quality sacred and secular literature, the Master Chorale is seeking capable, motivated singers who display good musicianship, a compatible voice, and capable reading skills. The Chorale performs a minimum of three concerts through December and will feature a wide variety of composers in its challenging repertoire. For further information and to arrange an audition, interested singers should contact the director, Dr. Timothy Cierpke, at 248-1294. Rehearsals begin in early September.  

The Heritage Men’s Chorale is seeking new members. All men, including Trevecca alumni and friends of the University,  who enjoy singing in an all-male choir are invited to join. The fall season begins September 7 and ends November 7; practices are Sunday afternoons (2:30-4 PM) in Trevecca’s fine arts building.
