Oduor named TranSouth Player of the Week

Brian Oduor, of Trevecca Nazarene University, has been selected as this week's TranSouth Athletic Conference Player of the Week, for the week ending November 30, 2008.

Oduor, a 6'4 senior forward from Nairobi, Kenya, led the Trojans to a perfect 3-0 week by averaging 24.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game. He shot 78.4% (29-of-37) from the field, hit 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and 12-of-16 (75%) from the foul line.

He was nearly perfect in Trevecca's 86-73 win at Ohio Dominican. He hit all 12 shots from the field and 5-of-7 from the foul line. He scored 29 points, grabbed six rebounds, and had three blocks. In Trevecca's 104-71 win over Point Park (at Ohio Dominican's Classic) he scored 27 points and was 9-of-14 from the field and hit all three shots beyond the three-point arc. For his efforts he was named to the All-RedRoof Inn Classic team at Ohio Dominican.

Trevecca is now 5-4 on the season. Trojans will host Freed-Hardeman on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 8:00 PM to start conference play.
