Trevecca Nazarene University will host the second Camp Electric in two five day camp sessions, June 28-July 2 and July 5-9, offering teenage musicians an opportunity to “come rock” with some of their favorites.
After a sold-out debut last summer, Camp Electric is offering an expanded two session registration plan. Each session will include a mix of nightly concerts by the top names in Christian music—tobyMac, Kutless, Red, BarlowGirl, and Pillar.
Multi-Grammy winning, multiple-platinum artist tobyMac returns this year in a leadership role for Camp Electric. His most recent accomplishments within the industry is the solo Grammy win in February (Best Rock or Rap Album of the year—for Alive and Transported) and the playing of his song “Ignition” during Superbowl 2009.
Daily sessions with top musicians will offer ‘hands-on’ instructional sessions, opportunities to perform for industry professionals, personalized tips and tune-ups, and overall encouragement towards spiritual and performance excellence. Vocals, keyboards, drums, bass, and guitar will all have individualized instructors ranging from session and major league road players with bands such as Kutless, MercyMe, Chris Tomlin, Sanctus Real, and tobyMac’s Diverse City.
Camp Electric is being promoted by the nation’s leading promoter of Christian themed concerts and events, The Premier Group.
Registration is limited—and a discount is offed through May 1. For sign-up information and a complete resource of Camp Electric’s summer ’09 concert and curriculum, visit www.campelectric.com.
