Trevecca president chosen for Leadership Nashville

Dan Boone, president of Trevecca Nazarene University, was selected as 1 of 44 Nashville community leaders to participate in the fall 2009 Leadership Nashville class, a nine-month program designed to help participant grow as decision-makers.

From an applicant pool of 230 persons from a variety of corporations, organizations, professions, industries, races, genders, religions, and neighborhoods, these 44 persons were chosen to be part of this 34th Leadership Nashville class.

With a focus on community issues linked to the functions of government, media, education, and business, Leadership Nashville enables participants to consider problems from differing viewpoints - the labor market, diversity, quality of life, human services, health, the arts/entertainment, and criminal justice. The goal of this training is to broaden and enlighten the perspectives of participants. Leadership Nashville was founded in 1976. Classes will begin in September.

Dan Boone has been president of Trevecca since 2005.
