Members of Professor Jason Adkins’s Environmental Class and Professor Chris Farrell’s Urban Restoration Class participated in the formation of a new experimental garden at Trevecca this week.

Students and professors engaged in a “double digging vs. cardboard box mulching” experiment. Both are ways of easily increasing garden fertility. Both the process and long-term growth will be compared.

This event is part of a long-term guerilla gardening effort led by Farrell and Adkins, whom also have led Trevecca students in creating community gardens at nearby Nashville public schools.
