CEO of Microsoft speaks at event on campus
The line-up of speakers was a major attraction. Mayor Karl Dean brought greetings. After Abbie Lundberg, editor-in-chief of CIO Magazine spoke about technology trends for 2010, Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, gave the keynote address. He recounted some of the shifts and trends that computer use and development had produced. Then he highlighted some of Microsoft's recent innovations and described additional ones that are soon to be released.
Ballmer made a one-day visit to Nashville as part of his multi-city tour to promote Microsoft as the company that can solve problems for specific industries.

The morning's events also included a meeting of Ballmer and students from local colleges and universities.
Trevecca Nazarene University was pleased to host the Nashville Techology Council for this event.
