During Teaching Excellence Convocation on Tuesday, March 2, Assistant Professor of English Michael Karounos was awarded the 2010 Teaching Excellence Award.

In addition to the award presentation, which included an award medal and an honorarium, 2009 Teaching Excellence Award recipient Nathan Kerr spoke on the topic of “Revolutionary Excellence.”

This award, established in 1982-83, is presented by the Conference of Chairpersons to recognize a Trevecca faculty member for excellence in classroom teaching. Three groups, students, faculty, and the academic chairpersons, nominate faculty for the award. This award is presented each year in chapel to honor the recipient and highlight the significance of excellence in teaching at Trevecca Nazarene University.
