SPARKS Conference held

Trevecca Nazarene University’s J.V. Morsch Center for Social Justice hosted a SPARKS Conference on April 21, 2010, from 8:30 AM-3:00 PM in the Boone Business Building.

Mary Ackerman, director of external affairs from Search Institute, shared key findings from the institute's latest research on awakening the spark that lives inside each and every young person. Participants explored the power of youth being able to name their SPARK, identify adults who support them, what we can do to promote opportunities for youth to practice sparks, and the role sparks play in giving youth their voice. In the afternoon, attendees engaged conversations aimed at delving more deeply into putting SPARKS to work across Nashville.
