Micah Mandate is a student journal sponsored by the J. V. Morsch Center for Social Justice at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tenn.
The online journal, which is linked above, was launched in April 2010 and is edited by Rachel Swann, a journalism major in her junior year at Trevecca.
The journal features the social justice works of non-profit organizations, individuals with a servant’s heart and students of the university promoting social justice in the Nashville area and abroad.
Micah Mandate gets its name from Micah 6:8 NIV: “…And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” This lifestyle mandate to Christians is what the J. V. Morsch Center for Social Justice seeks to instill in students as they study and practice bringing social justice to their neighbors.
