Physician Assistant Program is co-recipient of $10,000 grant

The partnership of Trevecca Physician Assistant Program and Urban Housing Solutions was selected as 1 of 3 finalists (of 70 applicants) in the 2010 Humana Communities Benefit Celebration.  They were awarded a $10,000 grant to be used in their joint work to establish better health care access and health literacy education to the residents of the Murfreesboro Pike-Fesslers Lane area of South Nashville.

“We are immensely thankful to the Humana Communities Benefit  for its vision and investment to build healthy communities in the Nashville area.,” said PA Professor Robin Jewett. “We also look forward to continuing our work with Urban Housing Solutions in helping low-income and formerly homeless individuals achieve better health through our health education programs.”
