Trevecca Symphony Orchestra
The Trevecca Symphony Orchestra, one of Nashville’s most prominent college/community instrumental ensembles in its 23rd season, announces limited openings for strings and select winds, beginning in January. Additional highly-capable winds are needed to support the TSO performance of Stravinsky’s “Rite of Spring” with rehearsals beginning in late January. These openings are available by audition or interview from January 10-March 31 at the Wakefield Fine Arts Building on the Trevecca campus. The all-volunteer, 65-piece TSO performs seven concerts during its season including chamber, classical, choral, and pops. Among featured composers this semester are Handel, Mendelssohn, von Suppe, Bernstein, Stravinsky and others. Trevecca Master Chorale
The Trevecca Master Chorale, associated with Trevecca Nazarene University, announces auditions for limited openings for the second half of its 13th season. Auditions will be open from January 10-February 10 at the Wakefield Fine Arts Building on the Trevecca campus. Focusing on quality sacred and secular literature, the winter/spring programming includes works of such composers as Stravinsky, Bernstein, Whitacre and others. The Master Chorale is seeking capable, motivated singers who display good musicianship, compatible voices, and capable reading skills.
