Scientific experiments net grant for Trevecca

The high-altitude scientific experiments conducted by members of Trevecca Nazarene University's physics faculty and their students have resulted in the awarding of a grant.

Earlier this year, the Tennessee Space Grant Consortium awarded Trevecca's Department of Math and Science a $30,000 NASA grant for expanding near space research at Trevecca.

This grant will enable Trevecca faculty and students to further develop a platform for stratospheric research in collaboration with NASA centers to address key science questions relevant to the NASA science mission directorate.

This award comes as a subcontract through Vanderbilt University, the lead institution for the Tennessee Space Grant Consortium, as part of a statewide $150,000 Research Infrastructure Development grant under NASA's Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research.
