TNT@TNU 2011

Trevecca Nazarene University and the Southeast Region Nazarene Youth International (NYI) hosted the 26th annual TNT@TNU on Trevecca’s campus April 7-10, 2011. More than 2,000 teenagers and youth sponsors came to Nashville and the Trevecca campus to participate in a variety of competitions, which highlighted the talents and abilities of the youth in attendance.
An opening ceremony was held Thursday, April 7, at Opryland Hotel. Author/ speaker Bo Cassel served as the event speaker and musical guest Living Anthem performed. Also, testimonies of former TNT@TNU students were shared via a video presentation (see that video embedded below).
Competitions began Friday morning and were held on Trevecca’s campus. Competitions are held in the areas of individual and team sports, vocal and instrumental music, speech and drama, art, writing, math and business, and quizzing. In addition to the regular competitions, Trevecca held art workshops for attendees as well as a “Ring of Troy” event, which provided opportunities for University students and TNT attendees to interact through various wacky games.
The event concluded with the awards ceremony closing event Saturday, April 9, at 7:00 PM, at in Moore PE Gymnasium on Trevecca's campus.
Top Nazarene Talent, or TNT, was established in 1986 as a regional talent competition for youth from the southeast. Its purpose is to give young people from across the southeast USA an opportunity to develop and devote their talents, abilities and gifts to be used for Jesus Christ.
