The Cup is a partnership among local churches, universities, language schools, businesses and international ministries. This year the soccer teams partnered with the following churches and organizations for the NIC tournament—Trevecca Nazarene University, Vietti Chili, AGLA, Baja Burrito, Trevecca Community Church of the Nazarene, Belmont Church, Christ Presbyterian Church, CPC college ministry, City Church, Crosspoint Church, El Shaddai, Lipscomb University Global Learning, Middle Tennessee ELS, Midtown Fellowship, Purity Dairy,  English Language School, 94 FM The Fish, Advocare, Hispanic Marketing Group, and West End Community Church.

Rob Vaughn director of NIC said, “Three years ago I had a vision for a citywide soccer tournament featuring local teams from the many international people groups in Nashville. The dream was to help connect friends from local churches to friends from around the world who now call Nashville home, the dream is now a reality.”

This year’s top finishers were Iran, third place; Iraq, second place; and Malagasy, the overall tournament champions.
