Students meet Governor Haslam
Members of Trevecca’s Political Science class, students involved in Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature (TISL), and Trevecca instructors William Hudson and Leroy Pepper had their photo made with Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam on Wednesday, October 20. Following their visit with Governor Haslam, the group was given an hour-long tour of the Capitol building by a staff member of the Tennessee State Museum, including both the Senate and House Chambers (since they were out of session last week). And at the conclusion of the tour, the group was given special access to climb the tower above the capitol, officially called the cupola, requiring a climb of nearly 200 steps. The official tour does not include this opportunity.
