Former Trevecca volleyball player Kaley (Ward) Humble is living out part of Trevecca's mission, which is to prepare students for "lives of leadership and service...to the community and the world at large". In her work as an elementary school teacher in Kabul, she has partnered with the current Trojan volleyball team to build a playground for Afghan students.
"It really means a lot to be able to have your support for the International School of Kabul," writes Ward. "God is doing great things with ISK, and I can't wait to see how He works in the lives of my students the rest of this school year."
Ward is a 6th-grade teacher at ISK in Kabul, where she and her husband live out God's love on a daily basis in a country where that is not easy.
"It is unbelievable to see how present our God is in a country that can seem so dark," Ward adds. "He makes himself known in my classroom in many unexpected and encouraging ways."
The Trojan volleyball team collected contributions to help purchase the playground equipment, which was expected to be installed over the Christmas break.
"Thank you for sharing in this role with me by donating to our playground," adds Ward. "My students have support for TNU and the volleyball team, and they can't wait to keep up with games next year."
