Students are enjoying the top to bottom renovations transforming the entire first floor of Greathouse Science building. The renovation was completed for the Fall 2011 semester and created a brand new classroom, provides updated classrooms, state-of-the-art equipment, and cost more than $1 million to complete.
This photo were taken during Dr. Alisha Russell’s Anatomy and Physiology 1 class where they were learning about muscle groups by studying anatomical muscle models. Dr. Russell graduated with a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and while she enjoys research, her true passion is teaching.
“I’ve always loved hands-on-labs and all of the new equipment makes the process even more fun and has increased student learning at the same time. In Anatomy and Physiology our new equipment allows students to investigate their own physiology using computerized probes and enables them to visualize complex anatomical structures,” said Dr. Russell.
We are excited to see how else the students and faculty use the new Greathouse Science building renovations for further research and learning.
