Trevecca’s Waggoner Library continues to increase its number of Electronic Books (eBooks) in its collection. These electronic copies provide scholarly content to Trevecca students with easy access—because they can be read over the Web—and at no cost.
Currently Waggoner library has more than 85,000 eBooks, representing many disciplines: nursing, engineering, social justice, marketing, and other subject areas. Because eBooks are included in the library catalog, a student can easily locate an eBook reference—even during hours when the library is closed.
Finding an eBook is easy. Instead of a call number, each eBook has a link where a student can view the eBook. eBooks can be read 24/7 on a computer, laptop, iPad, iPhone, Nook, Sony eReader, or iPod Touch. Many can be downloaded in full or by chapter if the user needs only a portion of the text.
This eBook format means that Waggoner Library now has “no walls” and “no hours”: students can have immediate access to the sources they need. For Trevecca’s large student population enrolled in programs meeting at off-site locations or for those classes that meet only online, eBooks make accessing library books convenient—at any hour from any location.
Waggoner’s eBook collection is accessible for fully enrolled students, faculty, and staff members.
