Last week Jamey Durham, instructor of mass communication/film, earned some publicity when his film Winning Favor was released by Wal-Mart. Written and directed by Jamey, the film was produced by Jamey’s wife, Donna, a graduate student in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program. The Durhams are at work on another movie, which they will film next summer. Jamey said that plans call for Trevecca students to be part of that project. The Durhams’ films are family oriented, Christian entertainment.
Winning Favor, based on a true story, concerns two childhood friends who find themselves playing against each other in the Iowa State Boys’ Basketball Tournament. You can purchase the film online from Wal-Mar at http://www.walmart.com/ip/21310166.
Alumna Teresa Vasquez-Terry, MBA, was interviewed about her research (at Trevecca) concerning I-Pad use and autism. You can watch this two-part interview at these links.
