For some old friends, the event is their annual opportunity to reconnect and enjoy some “quality time” on the links. For newcomers, the event provides a time to meet new friends and enjoy a game they love. Whatever their reason for attending, participants at this year’s annual Trevecca Alumni Golf Classic found something to enjoy. The weather was perfect for golf, and two days of playing golf made everyone happy.
On Thursday and Friday, May 23 and 24, 2013, the golfers gathered for the 26th annual Trevecca Alumni Golf Classic. This year’s tournament was sponsored by GCA Services Group, which employs a large number of Trevecca alumni.
On day one 83 golfers played and 81 on day two. Golfers traveled from these states to participate: Colorado, Texas, Ohio, Kansas, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
Winners of the Classic are the following: Open Flight—Dan Curtis, Senior—Jerry Clay ’72, Super Senior—Daryl Gilley ’65.
Proceeds from this event are used for Trevecca Alumni Scholarships, which are awarded to children of Trevecca alumni.
