Trevecca’s Tarter Student Activity Center (TSAC) will be the location of a Town Hall Meeting, hosted by Fox 17 and intended to address Nashville’s growing issue with traffic. The event will be streamed live on that station’s website, www.fox17.com.
The need for this meeting was stated by the station’s general manager, Dominic Man cuso: “We have record-breaking business growth, increasing condo developments, a state of the art convention facility in the new Music City Center, and thousands of jobs being relocated to the mid-state. It’s crucial that we plan accordingly for our interstates, arteries, and roadways if we want to continue attracting businesses and people. What we do today will decide whether or not we face a future of congestion that Atlanta and other markets that grew quickly live with on a daily basis.”
FOX 17’s Town Hall Meeting will be moderated by Mark Hyman of the Sinclair Broadcast Group. Panel members include representatives from the Mayor’s Office, the Tennessee Department of Transportation, both the Metropolitan and Regional Transportation Authorities, and the Metro Planning Organization.
The event is scheduled for September 11 at 6:30 PM at Trevecca University, and it is open to the public. Tarter Student Activities Building (TASC) is building #31 on the Trevecca campus map, found at http://www.trevecca.edu/campus-map.
