Trevecca Nazarene University has announced changes in its administrative leadership. Two current administrators have been appointed to newly created senior academic positions. Jim Hiatt, JD, is the new associate vice president for academic programs. In this new position, he provides oversight of new program development, program prioritization, external partnerships, international initiatives, strategic academic initiatives, and state authorization; he chairs the Academic Council and the Graduate Committee. He has been the dean of the Skinner School of Business and Technology, a role that he will continue to fill. Tom Middendorf, EdD, is the new associate vice president for academic services with oversight of Library Services, Academic Records, the Center of Leadership, Calling, and Service, Online Learning, faculty development, international student support, the undergraduate leadership studies minor, and the graduate Master of Organizational Leadership Program. Middendorf had been serving as director of the Center for Leadership, Calling, and Service.
Three other administrators received promotions. Michelle Gaertner replaces Tom Middendorf as the director of the Center for Leadership, Calling, and Service and continues to serve as the coordinator of disability services. LaMetrius Daniels is the new director of online learning, and Carrie Hopkins is the director of marketing for the College of Lifelong Learning.
