Trevecca's School of Education thrives on faculty with strong credentials who enhance program teaching and quality. A major strength of the University unit is interdisciplinary collaboration. Within the
conceptual framework of being, knowing, and doing, the School of Education is challenged to foster an abiding respect for intellectual effort, ideas, disciplinary knowledge, diversity, and professionalism. Being fully grounded in subject disciplines and pedagogy, professors model and encourage rigorous inquiry and critique that promote candidate growth and keep professors at the cutting edge of educational trends and issues.

Trevecca’s School of Education is also aware of the growing costs of a college education and a legislative interest in alternatives for students with strong academic backgrounds to shorten their college experience. The university offers CLEP exams that, if passed, will allow a student to receive credit for 33 credit hours, possibly reducing a 4 year program to a 3 year program. If you are a high school student who has taken AP courses and feel you have a strong academic background, we encourage you to take CLEP tests for credit to either complete your 4 year program early, or to add additional endorsements and/or majors.
