Career Internships

Career Internships are available to Juniors and Seniors with at least a 2.5 GPA. This is a course (4510) in which the student works in a professional setting within his/her proposed career field for one semester. Many majors at Trevecca require an internship, but all qualified students can earn up to 6 elective credit hours in interning.

Trevecca’s Career Internship program is highly structured with a great reputation in the Nashville community. Students can intern anywhere in the nation/world and are encouraged to intern with the best company or organization available to give them the professional experience they need. Although students are ultimately responsible for securing their internships, the Internship Coordinator assists them in locating the best site available for their career needs.

An internship is planned and obtained one semester prior to serving it. It is considered to be rehearsal for a professional job search; therefore, a quality resume and cover letter is required and approved prior to the internship. Students attend mandatory resume and internship workshops the semester prior to their internships.

Many Trevecca students are hired by their internship employers after graduation. For a list of local employers who have had Trevecca interns, click here.
