Career Preparation

It is the role of the Office of Career Placement to work with students, who have selected a career path, to assist them in successfully getting into that field upon graduation. This is done in a variety of ways:

  • Career counseling
  • Internships
  • Teaching job search skills  (resume construction, interviewing skills, informational interviewing, salary negotiation, professional dress and etiquette, etc.)
  • Hosting local and national job postings
  • Career Fairs
  • Graduate School information
  • How to research employers
  • On campus recruitment
  • Career Library
  • Student Employment (On-campus and Part-time)

The career counselor, Jennifer Neely, is available for individual appointments. 615-248-7712 or jneely@trevecca.edu.

Students are strongly encouraged to register with CSO (Career Services Online)  in order to receive career assistance.

All jobs,  internships and career events are posted through this system. Registered students can also connect with alumni career mentors. Students can upload and store multiple career documents (resumes, cover letters, etc.) in this system and download them to any job posted. Career staff can review resumes and make suggestions prior to them being stored. Career staff will use this system to create “resume books” of select student resumes for employers. In summary, to receive assistance in career placement, students must be registered with our online system.

NACELink Connect is another resume storing and posting service.  NACELink also has more national job postings, and a job search agent.  It is another great job search resource. For more Career Resources, click here.
