Jessica Duranceau - Georgia Hall
This is my 4th year as resident director of Georgia Hall, and I love my job! Building relationships with the ladies in our dorm has truly been rewarding. When I was a student at Trevecca, my days and late nights in the residence hall were when some of my fondest memories were made. I established lifelong friendships, stayed up to all hours of the night studying and laughing my head off with all the girls on my floor, deepened my faith in the Lord, and experienced life on my own. I am so privileged to play a part in the college experience of our students. I hope Georgia Hall and the time they spend here will be a place they remember fondly long after they graduate or move on, just as my time in the residence hall was for me.
I came to TNU from the beautiful state of South Carolina, but I currently call Nashville home. In November I will celebrate my third anniversary of marriage to my best friend, Jonathon Duranceau. He has to be pretty amazing to be able to live with over 100 other girls! God has truly blessed our lives together. We really enjoy being a part of the Trevecca Community. We met as undergrads here at Trevecca and both graduated in 2004. My bachelors was in communications, and just this past May I earned my masters degree in counseling.
Stephanie Byler - Tennessee Hall
This is my first year as Resident Director of Tennessee Hall, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to be serving in this position. My experience as a student at Trevecca was one I will never forget and I look forward to being a part of this experience in the lives of the girls in Tennessee Hall.
I’m originally from Middlefield, Ohio but was raised in Georgia. I have three brothers and two wonderful parents. I graduated from Trevecca in May 2007 with a degree in Interpersonal Communications, and a minor in Behavioral Science.
I believe God has some great things in store for us this year. My prayer is that each girl will find the support that they need to grow spiritually and that they will seek God in every aspect of their lives. I also pray that our girls will find a place in the Trevecca community where they will have accountability and build life-long friendships.
Carrie Hays - Johnson Hall
I grew up in the beautiful state of Colorado and graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in Idaho in 2004 with a degree in social work and a minor in compassionate ministries. I am currently working on my masters in business administration in Trevecca's graduate business program.
This is my second year as resident director of Johnson Hall! I look forward to building relationships with the ladies in my hall this year as we live and grow together! My college experience was a time in my life that will never compare with any other. I hope that I can play a part in making this a reality for every young lady in Johnson Hall.
My prayer is that each resident in my hall will find her confidence and contentment in the Lord as she searches for God’s will in her life. I pray that each young lady will find a place where she belongs in this community so that she can grow into a woman of the Lord that will be a blessing wherever she goes! I have loved my time here at TNU and am excited to see what the Lord has in store for us in this upcoming year!
Michelle Fite - Junior and Senior Housing
This year is my sixth year as resident director of Bush, Wise, Redford, and Shingler Halls. I graduated from Trevecca in 1999 with a behavioral science degree and a minor in compassionate ministries. I am currently working on my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and will graduate in May, 2007.
Josh, my husband of six years, and our daughter Trinity Grace (2 years old) just welcomed Eliana Grace, into our family in September, 2005. God has blessed me with a wonderful family. Josh and I love spending time together as a family. In my spare time I enjoy scrap booking and continuing to date Josh (I have plenty of babysitters).
I like my job because I get to meet new people, build relationships with my residents, and enjoy all the fun activities on campus.
Matt Spraker - Benson Hall
This will be my second year as Resident Director of Benson Hall, and it keeps getting better! I am no stranger to life in Benson, as I lived here for all four years of my undergraduate years (those being a few years gone by now). I graduated from Trevecca with a degree in business administration, and am currently working on my masters in theology degree. I believe God has called me to a life of ministry and I thoroughly enjoy working with college students.
My beautiful wife, Jessica and I are excited about our time here at Trevecca and about the opportunities for guidance and relationships. The years spent on campus are so valuable in the life of a student and I am honored to be able to have a part in that. The walls of this residence hall have heard the tears of lives changed, have witnessed the fun and excitement of games and pranks that happen when you get 250 guys together, and yes, have smelled the smells of a men's residence hall, but more importantly have nurtured the growth of lives bent toward God, and the fruits of that are evident throughout the world. Benson Hall is home to a community of men that are truly leaders and servants.
