International and Off-campus Studies

International and off-campus studies give students an opportunity to travel, learn, and put into practice those things they have been learning. To become involved, the student must contact the Career and Counseling Center.

After students are accepted, they receive information regarding how to prepare for the experience, what to bring, and what to expect. International programs include information regarding travel arrangements, and students will be given phone numbers to call if they have further questions.

These programs are considered extensions of the University, so a designated council will recommend that a student be granted credit for the study. Transcripts are sent to the Office of Academic Records at the end of each semester. The Office of Academic Records will apply the credits to the student’s transcript.

Four to five weeks prior to the beginning of each semester, the designated council sends a bill to each sending institution via the office of the chief academic officer, unless other arrangements have been made. From that office, the bill will be forwarded to the appropriate person. This bill should be paid within 30 days.
