Trevecca's mission statement is, "Trevecca Nazarene University is a Christian community providing education for leadership and service."

Specifically, the mission statement for the Career and Counseling Center states that the "Career and Counseling Center exists within a Christian community to help students adjust to the campus environment, discover individual and corporate identity, and develop professional and personal life skills.” Staff members at the Career and Counseling Center are Christians who see their work as having a Christ-centered purpose. The counselors apply biblical principles and practices in their work and use counseling techniques that are consistent with the Christian faith, professionally sound, and based on the best training and practice.
