From a narrow perspective .  .  .  to a global view

“I used to live in ‘my little American bubble,’ but Trevecca’s chapel services and emphasis on
community involvement and social justice have opened my eyes to missions and have helped me
see how closed minded I have been. My participation in mission trips—here and abroad—has
helped me see that Christianity is not confined to one culture but lives in many cultures. My plan to
become an accountant and focus on earning money has changed because God has awakened in me a
passion to help people who are hurt and hopeless.”

Allie, a junior accounting major and missions minor from Greenwood,
S.C., participated in a missions trip to Africa in the summer of 2007, devoted her
winter break working in Atlanta with a ministry to the homeless, and spent
spend two months in India this summer with Youth in Missions.
