February 14, 15, 16 and 21, 22, 23

This month, Trevecca proudly presents Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, situating Illyria and its denizens in the world of contemporary country music.  Helming the production is guest director, Nat McIntyre, a professional actor who has just finished a year on Broadway performing in the Tony Award-winning Warhorse at the Lincoln Center.  Also livening the mix, original music and lyrics written by local professional songwriter Luke Sheets have been incorporated into the production with the creative input of some of Trevecca’s finest student artists (Sydney Maxfield, Zach Shockley, and others).

Performances run February 14, 15, 16 and 21, 22, 23.  All evening performances begin at 7:00 PM.  There will also be a special afternoon matinee performance at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 23.  Each performance will be presented in the newly renovated Benson Theatre in McClurkan Hall on the campus of TNU.

"If music be the food of love . . .” then be sure to make plans now to bring your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day (opening night!) or sometime during Valentine’s Day weekend to enjoy one of Shakespeare’s most meaningful romantic comedies.
