Overview of Position

The Trevecca Nazarene University (TNU) Physician Assistant (PA) Program is currently seeking a highly qualified, collaborative Assessment Coordinator who will work with the PA faculty, staff, and leadership in design, development, and implementation of appropriate instruments, collection strategies, and analysis tools as required for program assessment. The Data Analyst will help the program in meeting ongoing requirements of program assessment and accreditation via ARC-PA.  Of great importance will be strength in designing assessment strategies, including appropriate data instruments, performing data collection and storage, and pursuing data analysis within the context of program assessment and improvement. At present, this is a half-time position with potential for the position to be expanded as the candidate shows strengths in assessment strategies with potential application to other programs on the Trevecca campus, including our new nursing program, additional degree programs in the School of STEM and other programs / majors at Trevecca.

Job Responsibilities

Exercise responsibility and provide oversight for ongoing program evaluation, assessment, reporting, compliance, and accreditation, including:

  • Demonstrate competence and responsibility in the areas of program assessment and data interpretation.
  • Develop and oversee rigorous and continuous processes for program self-analysis that aid in accreditation compliance and formulation of data-driven action plans that improve program outcomes.
  • Help to ensure that the program and University adhere to the ARC-PA Standards and policies in the realm of program assessment.
  • Advocate for new assessment and data interpretation strategies with potential to improve the assessment efforts of the PA program.
  • Work in partnership with relevant university offices to coordinate data collection, storage, and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, psychology, sociology, related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in computer science, mathematics, statistics, psychology, sociology, or related field appropriate for the position.
  • At least two years of experience with computer software appropriate to analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data;
  • Fluency in analytical methods, and the ability to work with and understand complex data sets.
  • Experience with data cleansing, matching, and finding corrupt and redundant information;
  • Ability to create reports of findings that are appropriate to the target audience(s);
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • The proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion;
  • Ability to professionally represent the PA program to both internal and external partners of the PA program;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products;
  • Experience creating and conducting surveys.
