  1. Financial aid
  2. Out of pocket, lump sum payments
  3. Payment plans

1. Financial Aid

There are essentially three places to get aid:

  1. The federal government
  2. The institution you are attending
  3. The private sector

Federal Government
This step starts with you filling out your FAFSA at and inputting our school code (003526).  This information will then be sent to us within 7 days of your FAFSA submission.

Federal aid can be broken down into 2 categories:

Grants/Scholarships Loans
Typically this would be the Pell Grant and only available for undergraduate course work. If your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is greater than or equal to 5730, you will not be eligible for the Pell Grant. Your EFC should be available on your completed FAFSA application. All EFCs below 5730 may be eligible on a sliding scale, TNU would be happy to help you determine what, if any, Pell Grant you qualify for.
*Federal grants/scholarships for graduate course work are extremely limited.
Federal Loans for non-traditional and graduate course work are limited to Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loans. To familiarize yourself with the difference between the two, please visit
*Please note Subsidized Stafford Loans are not available for graduate coursework.

Institutional Aid:
TNU does not currently offer Institutional Aid for its non-traditional programs.

2. Out of Pocket, Lump Sum Payments

  1. Pay online* via (This can be done after registration by using your log in information.)
  2. Mail payment to TNU Accounting Office, 333 Murfreesboro Road, Nashville, TN 37210.
  3. Pay at the Cashier’s Office** on campus, top floor of the Martin Building, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

* Credit card payments will be assessed a convenience fee equaling 2.99% of your total transaction by CASHNet and added to the amount charged to your card. (For example, a payment of $1,000.00 via credit card would result in a $1,029.90 charge.)

** Payment via telephone with a credit card will no longer be available. The only forms of payment that will be accepted in the Accounting Office for the payment of tuition and fees will be cash, check or money order. This applies to payments submitted in person or via the USPS.

3. Payment Plans

Trevecca offers 4 month, 5 month and 6 month interest free payment plans.  These are quick and easy ways to spread your payments out over a longer period of time.  The length of your plan will be determined by the length of your semester.  This can be done at  Your student log-in information and ID are required to set this up, so we would be happy to assist you after registration for courses is complete.
