"It was a week of self-discovery and transformation with one another. It was a week of fellowship and never-ending conversation. It was a week of being neighbors to and with each other."

Paige Burge, 2017 fellow

Six8 is a summer intensive for 10th graders through college freshmen held in the heart of Nashville on the campus of Trevecca Nazarene University. Six8 is designed for students who are passionate about theological exploration, serving others and healing injustice. The intensive is centered around the question: “How do we love our neighbor?”

Students have the opportunity to dig deeper into their purpose, faith, and calling. They’ll build community with scholars, mentors, and students who are passionate about the call of Micah 6:8—to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. Throughout the week, we hope students come to know their own gifts and understand their capability to be agents of change in the world around them.

After the summer intensive, students stay connected with their small groups and mentors for the next six months as they process and integrate what they learn and seek justice in their own communities. We hope students will leave empowered to share their story about how God is working in their own lives and the world around them.

Check back here soon for upcoming dates!

The total cost for the week is $100. It will be held on the campus of Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. Six8 2019 will focus on the stories that shape us. We will spend the week identifying the cultures and customs that shape us while seeking to choose to be shaped by the story of God. The story of God calls us to welcome the stranger, show compassion for those who suffer, care for the poor and outcast, and to love our neighbors with our whole hearts, minds, hands, and feet. We will focus on what it means to live out the prayer “Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done, On Earth As It Is In Heaven.”
