Position Summary
Trevecca Nazarene University (Nashville, TN) invites applications for the full-time, salaried position of Director of Athletic Compliance. The primary function of the position is to develop, coordinate and administer the NCAA D-2 Compliance Program for fifteen (15) intercollegiate athletic programs.
Position Title: Director of Athletic Compliance
Reports To: Director of Intercollegiate Athletics
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred: Master’s degree, Experience in NCAA Compliance, Experience in leadership and supervisory role, Experience in spiritual leadership, Collegiate athletic and/or coaching experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Be a spiritual leader within the Trevecca athletic department. Understand the Trevecca mission/values and live within the Christian expectations of the University.
- Primary liaison between athletic department and admissions office, financial aid office, and office of academic records.
- Coordinate/monitor NCAA and conference paperwork for all student-athletes.
- Coordinate/monitor all compliance software applications (Compliance Assistant, Front Rush, GamePlan, NoCap)
- Coordinate/monitor the beginning of the academic year student-athlete forms
(Information forms, NCAA Drug Testing Consent Forms, etc.) - Coordinate/monitor financial aid information
- Student-athlete financial aid limitations and team limitations
- Monitor academic year student-athlete employment
- Review summer athletic financial aid
- Coordinate/monitor recruiting information
- Coordinate the monthly review of each team’s recruiting notebook
- Official and unofficial visits by recruits
- Coordinate/monitor academic eligibility information
- Coordinate eligibility information with FAR and Office of Academic Records
- Monitor and review transfer student-athlete information
- Monitor CARA, practice and playing seasons of each athletic program
- Review all informational forms
- Financial aid information
- Eligibility certification
- Student-athlete insurance
- Squad list information
- Conduct rules education workshops
- Coaching staff training sessions
- Student-athlete education sessions
- Additional University – key administrative staff sessions
- Oversee the investigation, review and reporting of possible institutional violations of the
rules and regulations to the conference and/or NCAA national office - Oversee the ongoing internal review of effectiveness and efficiency of athletic compliance
system - Participate in institutional self-study and conference reviews
- Attend NCAA and conference seminars and meetings
