July 10 - 14, 2017
Trevecca Nazarene University
About the event
Since its founding in 1901, Trevecca has had a strong history of training people to lead, serve, and minister to others. This legacy of leadership and service is at the heart of Trevecca. It’s in that spirit the university launched Mission Nashville, a summer urban immersion camp.
Mission Nashville will provide churches with a fully organized mission trip for their youth–an opportunity for teens to see real need firsthand and respond to God’s command to be his hands, feet, and heart to others.
Each evening, corporate worship will be led by our guest speaker and one of Trevecca’s worship bands. Students will have the opportunity to make new friends, have fun, and spend time with youth from all over the country who share a passion for ministry to others.
2017 Speaker: Jeff Stark, Lead Pastor / Pekin Campus Pastor
Jeff became a Jesus follower when he was 25 years old in Macedonia. Deployed with the US Army, Jeff was met by God in a powerful way calling him from addictions and destructive life choices.
Things haven't been the same since. His wife Angie was saved 1 month later at Clarksville First Church of the Nazarene, where they began both their journeys with Jesus and their ministries. Jeff served on staff at Clarksville First for about 7 years filling multiple Associate roles.
Arriving in Erin, TN in October of 09, Jeff and Angie served a great church for nearly 5 years. Jeff and his family then moved to Bridgeway Community Church in Pekin, Illinois in July of 2014. They have two boys, Hunter (17) and Chance (16). Jeff graduated with a B.A. from Otterbein University in English Literature ('98), served 4 1/2 years in the Army as an Arabic Linguist, graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University (M.A. Religion '06), completed an M.T.S. from Vanderbilt Divinity School ('10), and is completing a Doctor of Ministry program at Lipscomb University in Missional Theology and Spiritual Formation.
