About the conference

What is a master counselor and how do I become one? This workshop explores the factors, traits, and skills that distinguish extraordinary practitioners from those who are merely competent. Based on interviews conducted over the last decade with more than 100 of the world’s most prominent, theoreticians, therapists and counselors, Jeffrey will highlight personal qualities and seminal attributes that make the greatest difference. As much as what we do with clients, and apart from any favored interventions, it is who we are as human beings that is so influential and powerful. It isn’t just what we do that matters most but who we are. In addition, it is the clinician’s ability to master the intricacies of storytelling, both to hold and honor clients’ narratives, as well as increase power and influence through the medium of sharing tales of courage, resilience, and life lessons.
