As a Social Worker, Allison spent her career working with numerous systems: Juvenile Probation, Mental Health, Foster Care and Public Schools. Passionate about people, justice, equity and asset-based community development, Allison teaches from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, faith-rooted and strength-based lens. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in social work and Spanish from Asbury University, a Master of Social Work from Saint Louis University with a certificate in nonprofit administration and is currently a Doctor of Social Work candidate at the University of St. Thomas. Her dissertation research topic is Anti-Racist Social Work Pedagogy. When she's not working, she can be found laughing with her husband and friends, reading a good book, eating a delectable meal, playing with her sassy tabby cat or digging in her beloved veggie garden.
