Online Undergraduate Enrollment Counselor

General Summary

This is a hybrid position, with office hours required (MWF). The undergraduate enrollment counselor is responsible for the recruitment of incoming students for our online undergraduate students. The recruiter will counsel prospective students throughout the admissions process from initial contact to matriculation. This is a full-time regular position that reports to the Director of Enrollment with salary and fringe benefits to be determined by the University.

Responsibilities

• Bring prospective student from point of inquiry to registration for online programs using proven recruitment methods as outlined in the SGCS Enrollment Counselor Manual
• Follow up promptly with prospective students through phone (call & text), email and mailings
• Enter and maintain accurate information in Recruit (CRM)
• Work directly with admissions office to track paperwork and update the system on progress
• Articulate financial aid estimates
• Articulate transcript reviews and recommend scheduling
• Generate leads by seeking referrals from prospective students, applicants, current students, and alumni
• Be inventive with new ideas that can help grow recruitment efforts
• Meet enrollment goals set by supervisor and leadership team
• Be able to meet with prospective students (in office) and conduct campus tours
• Occasionally help with information sessions and other recruiting events, as needed
• Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong customer service skills
• Able to work independently
• Experience in student recruitment or sales preferred
• Excellent communication skills (including written, verbal and interpersonal)
• Evidence of being goal oriented and self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Able to multi-task
