Position Description
The Department of English at Trevecca Nazarene University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in English, beginning in August 2024. Although the position is for an Americanist, scholars of British literature will be considered. The successful candidate will teach general-education composition and literature classes, as well as upper-level courses.
Qualifications
Trevecca seeks candidates with a strong Christian testimony and an unwavering commitment to Christ-centered teaching and learning. While preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in hand, candidates with ABD status will be considered. The successful candidate will also participate in student advising, curricular development, and ongoing scholarship and will demonstrate a strong commitment to the values and mission of the university. A willingness to develop and teach online courses is desired. A passion for working with undergraduate students in Christian higher education is essential.
