Criminal Justice Program launched

On Saturday, Feb. 2, Trevecca made history with a new academic program—a degree-completion program in criminal justice. The 14 students in the first cohort group come from varied work fields: 8 are officers in the Metro Nashville Police Department, one is a corrections officer at  Riverbend Maximum Security Prison, one is an administrator with Metro Juvenile Court, one is a senior support technician with a computer manufacturing company, one is a home health care aide, one is a representative for a pharmaceutical company, and one is a former police detective from Bogota, Colombia, who is now living in the U.S.

This first cohort group will complete the 15-month program in time to graduate in May of 2009.
