Nothing says summer like baseball and outdoor concerts—and Trevecca Nazarene University is planning both to celebrate the end of the season and kick off the Fall 2019 semester.
Trevecca, in partnership with WAY-FM, will sponsor the Nashville Sounds Aug. 30 Faith and Family Night event. This is the eighth consecutive season that Trevecca has sponsored one or more Faith and Family night events.
“It has become a fun summer tradition to bring Nashville Sounds baseball and Trevecca together the last few years,” said Matt Toy, Trevecca’s associate vice president of marketing and communications. “It’s exciting that this year, for the first time, a Trevecca band will headline the featured concert before the game.”
Trevecca’s own PR band, Awaken, will headline the pregame concert, kicking off the night’s events at 6:05 p.m. A few more familiar Trevecca faces are also likely to take part, throwing out the first pitch, singing the national anthem and more.
Since the game is an official Welcome Week and Trevecca Alumni Association event, Trevecca officials expect a large crowd of students, staff, alumni and friends of the University will be in the stands.
