YES Conference meets on campus

The fifth annual YES (Youth Equipped to Serve) Conference took place on Trevecca's campus on June 19-23.  Over 100 high school students and Trevecca students attended the event designed to provide leadership for students who feel led to serve in the ministry.

"The YES Conference was born out of a desire of the Southeast Region NYI to help high school students who feel called to the ministry get a head-start on their preparation for a life of ministry," writes Greg Kenerly, youth pastor from Memphis and organizer of the event.

The event allowed participants to take part in service projects, to worship through song, to hear daily sermons in general sessions, and to participate in themed evening events.

Participants were also split into six different tracks, children's ministry, compassionate ministry, missions, music ministry, and youth ministry, allowing each track of students to take part in breakout sessions and seminars applying directly to them.

Participants stayed in on-campus housing throughout the event.
