FAQ’s

Q: How do I access my 1098-T?
A: If you are a current student and would like to receive your 1098-T form electronically, please log on to the Student Account Center through TNU4U to give your consent. Once your tax form for the current year is ready, you can view, print, and save your form on the Student Account Center.​

If you are a former student or alumni and would like to receive your 1098-T form electronically, please give your consent by opting in here. To view your tax form for the current tax year, please visit www.heartland.ecsi.net and select view your tax form

Q: When will I receive my 1098-T?
A: 1098-T forms will be ready for students online by January 31. If you have opted in for electronic consent, you will receive an email notification once your form is available. If you choose to receive a paper copy of your 1098-T statement, it will be mailed to the current address on file for you by January 31.​

Q: How do I retrieve a copy of my 1098-T for prior years?
A: Email Denise McPherson (RDMcPherson@trevecca.edu) in the Office of Financial Services. Please include full name, student ID number, and tax year for which you are requesting information.​

Q: What amounts are listed in Box 2 or Box 5?
A: Qualified tuition and related expenses are included in Box 2. Scholarships and grants are included in Box 5.​

Q: Why is Box 1 blank?
A: For the 2017 reporting year, the IRS requires schools to report either Box 1 or Box 2 but not both. If you need proof of payment, please access your account statement online via the Student Account Center.​
