Jonathan moved to Tennessee from Bourbonnais, Illinois, in July of 2017, where he served for 18 years as a full-time staff member, faculty member, and administrator at Olivet Nazarene University. He began his career in the Media and Technical Support department, moving to the School of Education as a professor after completing his master’s degree. After seven years as a faculty member, he sensed God’s call to higher education administration, working to complete his doctorate with a focus on higher education and moving to the School of Graduate and Continuing Studies. His last position prior to coming to Trevecca was as the dean for the School of Graduate and Continuing Studies. In addition to his work at Olivet, Jonathan has served as a peer evaluator for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (HLC-NCA), a university accrediting body similar to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). He is married to his wife, Melinda, and they have three sons.
