Dr. Thomas Lerew directs the TNU Singers and Concert Choir and teaches courses in Conducting, Music Education, and Aural Theory. He has conducted choirs in performance in Canada, Germany, Ireland, Poland, the United Kingdom, and throughout the United States. Past conducting experiences include the University of Arizona Symphonic Choir, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and the Arizona Repertory Singers. Dr. Lerew taught vocal music and music theory in public high schools in New York and Pennsylvania before pursuing graduate studies and college teaching. He is the Director of Music Ministries at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church and serves on the Tennessee chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) as its collegiate choirs coordinator as well as the Southern Region of ACDA as its webmaster.

A native of the family apple orchards of south central Pennsylvania, Dr. Lerew and his wife, Kerry, now live in Nashville with their two children. For more about his work, visit
