Dr. Thomas Lerew joined the Trevecca faculty in 2016 and directs the university’s traditional choirs and teaches conducting. He has conducted choirs in performance in Canada, Germany, Poland, and throughout the United States and has received recognition for his work in promoting music education and the choral arts through outreach initiatives. Past conducting experiences include the acclaimed University of Arizona Symphonic Choir, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus, the Arizona Repertory Singers, and the Green Valley Community Chorus. Dr. Lerew also has several successful years of experience teaching vocal music and music theory in public high schools in both New York and Pennsylvania. At Trevecca, he continues to pursue his educational interests of teaching aural and notational music literacy in the choral rehearsal setting.
