The Records Coordinator will perform administrative duties to support the Academic Records Office. The position is a regular full-time, hourly, non-exempt position which reports to the Registrar.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as first point of contact for the Academic Records Office
- Processes transcript requests, deferment and enrollment verifications, transfer work, office forms, and testing scores
- Assists with the preparation process for registration and graduation
- Manages student workers
- Responsible for maintaining office supplies
- Maintains confidential student academic records
- Upholds academic policies
- Updates office website
- Other duties as assigned
Candidate must possess excellent customer service and communication skills (including face-to-face, telephone and email). Have the ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills, distinctive attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Ability to multitask and complete work with frequent interruptions, and collaborate with others in the university in order to establish effective working relationships. Ability to follow instructions, be punctual (set office hours are required), and uphold confidentiality of academic records. Must have demonstrated competence in the use of technology, specifically Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor’s degree, experience in an educational setting, and a minimum of 2 years of experience working in customer service or related experience preferred.
