Position Description

The Millard Reed School of Theology and Christian Ministry at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, announces an opening for a full-time tenure-track position in Religion with an emphasis in New Testament beginning Fall 2022. The position includes 24-27 semester hours of teaching annually, primarily at the traditional undergraduate level with some opportunity for instruction at the graduate level, plus advising and assigned committee work. Assigned courses include upper-division New Testament literature, New Testament Greek, and general education courses in religion (particularly Bible). The Ph.D. degree or its equivalent is preferred; however, applicants with ABD will be considered. The applicant should have prior teaching experience (preferably in both face-to-face and online formats) and a demonstrated commitment to the vocational, theological, and ministerial development of students.

Members of the School of Theology and Christian Ministry must demonstrate engaged participation within the Wesleyan/Arminian tradition and hold ministerial credentials in the Church of the Nazarene. Women and persons of diverse ethnicities are especially encouraged to apply. Bilingual ability in Spanish and English would be an asset.
