Trevecca Nazarene University’s Student Health Clinic is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated, highly capable graduate assistant who can assist with administrative duties in the front office. This is a part-time position, which excludes benefits.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Trevecca graduate student, enrolled for the 2021-22 Academic Year.

Position Duties

  • Assist with response to appointment inquiries, either by phone or email.
  • Assist with verification of immunization records.
  • Assist with basic data analysis and processing.
  • Perform chart maintenance for patient health records.
  • Assist with transition to electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Other tasks as assigned.

 Qualifications/Preferred Skills

  • Completion of HIPAA certification and training.
  • Understanding of confidentiality practices surrounding protected health information (PHI)
  • Proficiency with utilization of Microsoft office suite
  • Healthcare related experience preferred but not required. 

Terms of Employment and Expectations

  • Maintain effective and efficient communication with the Resident Health Director
  • Maintain a consistent 10-20 hour weekly work schedule. Time off and schedule adjustments require advanced approval. Estimated schedule will fall within an 8am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday work week – likely 2-4:30pm.

  • Respect and adhere to student/employee privacy at all times, which will require HIPAA training.
  • Compensation:
    • Hourly wage – $12-15/hr dependent upon experience
    • On-campus housing provided (if applicable)
    • Tuition remission
  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Supervisor: Samantha Craighead, Physician Assistant & Resident Health Provider
